1. Who can use our services

You can use our services if you have created a user account and thus agree to form a binding contract with Takeout Local. If you accept these terms and conditions and use the Services on behalf of a company, organization, government or other legal entity, you represent and warrant that you are authorized to do so.

2. Privacy Policy

Our  Privacy Policy describes how we handle the information you provide to us when you use our services. You understand that through your use of our Services, you consent to the collection and use (as set forth in the Privacy Policy) of this information, including the transfer of this information to the United States, Lithuania and / or other countries for the storage, processing and use of Takeout Local as well as any sub-data processors working in collaboration with Takeout Local.

3. Closing your account

Having registered and activated an account with Takeout Local, you have access to your account, where you can review or update your personal information. If you wish to terminate your account, agreement and contract with Takeout Local, you may do so at any time. To deactivate your account, please contact us via email at accounts@takeout.co.uk and specify that you wish to close your account.

4. Ordering process and delivery

Your order

When you have selected your items and are ready to complete your order from the chosen restaurant, submit your order by clicking "place order". Please ensure that the information given is correct. As soon as the order has been submitted, the restaurant will begin by preparing your order and changes will no longer be possible.

Changing or cancelling your order

As mentioned above, when the order has been submitted and payment approved, it may no longer be possible to change or cancel your order. Should you still wish to cancel or change the order, please contact customer service who will then liaise directly with the restaurant concerned to see if this may still be possible.

Approval of payment method

Should payment, for any reason, not be approved by your provider, the order will not be communicated to the restaurant and you will be informed of this.

Managing your order and orders rejected by the restaurant

When we have received your order, the order is processed and sent directly to the restaurant. The Takeout Local systems provide you with an automatic email to inform you whether or not the order has been accepted or rejected by the restaurant.

If, for any reason, payment has been processed for an order which cannot be completed by the restaurant, you will be provided with a full refund.

Delivering your order

The estimated delivery and pickup times provided by the restaurant are not guaranteed by Takeout Local. We will do our best to ensure your order is delivered to you in a timely fashion. If you have any questions or concerns about the delivery time for you order, please make use of our Website or App, login and check the delivery time indicated.

5. Customer service


Takeout Local prides itself on the professionalism and performance of its customer service team. Our customer service team will, to the best of their ability, try and help you with any problems that might occur with your order. If you do have a question or concern, please do contact our customer service by clicking "contact us by email" or by calling us +44 (0) 208 080 3152. You are also encouraged to read our FAQ page which addresses most customer queries.

Questions about your order

If there is any delay to your order, or processing it takes more time than usual or if you experience any problems with your order, please do not hesitate to contact our customer service team as indicated above. We will then contact the restaurant concerned and get back to you.

Complaints and feedback

If you believe that the quality of the product or service does not meet your expectations and you are able to post your feedback on the restaurant order page, we encourage you to do so. Providing regular reviews for restaurants is an important part of our quality control and helps all parties improve their offering.

6. Compensation

If you believe that the quality of the product or the service offered by a restaurant is unsatisfactory, we encourage you to contact the restaurant directly in order to register your complaint. The contact details of the restaurant are maintained in the order history in your account and you can access this via our Website or App. If, for any reason, you are unable to contact the restaurant, please do contact Takeout Local's customer service team. Please do this within 48 hours of having submitted your order. Our customer service team will then attempt to contact the restaurant for you and seek to resolve the issue. Please note, that we have no control over the quality of the food product or the service offered by the restaurants and we cannot be held accountable for any compensation on behalf of the restaurants.

7. Payment 

All prices in the UK include VAT. Payment is online via DIBS betalingsgateway using MobilePay or Braintree Payment betalingsgateway when using debetkort, kreditkort or netbank transfer. You are able to pay using Dankort, eDankort, VISA-Dankort, MasterCard, Eurocard, Diners Club, American Express, Netbank, Ewire, Nordea e-betaling etc. If Takeout Local are delivering (and not the restaurant itself), the ONLY payment methods accepted are using company credit or creditcard, the drivers cannot accept handling cash.

8. Payment Abuse & Fraud

By using the above payment methods, Takeout Local seeks to make the payment process easy and straightforward. In cases where there is suspected fraud or payment abuse, Takeout Local reserves the right to reject the order without advanced warning. Takeout also reserves the right to breach the right to anonymity in cases where orders are fraudulent.

9. Order storage

The order will be stored on our secure servers. If you would like to have the order sent by email, please contact our customer service on customerservice@takeout.co.uk  Please remember to note the order-number, name of the restaurant and ordering date.

10. Personal data

11. Language

Contracts are povided in English.
